DESTROYING JULIAN ASSANGE VIA “EVIL WITH A CIVILIZED VENEER” British ex-diplomat Craig Murray thusly described Assange’s extradition hearing after attending it in person as a “member” of the Assange family. In this hour, he details the corruption, brutality and absurdity of Assange’s treatment and the legal proceedings against him. Murray talks about the immense implications of certain arguments the U.S. government has made in court, including that the First Amendment does not protect any journalist in the world from U.S. government prosecution under the Espionage Act.

ASSANGE EXTRADITION HEARING: ABUSE OF PROCESS AND EXPOSING GOVERNMENT CRIMES:’s managing editor Kevin Gosztola talks about Julian Assange’s extradition hearing and witnesses describing how they set up illegal surveillance of the Ecuador Embassy for U.S. intelligence. Another witness, Khaled el-Masri, a German citizen extraordinarily rendered by the CIA, described being sodomized and otherwise tortured in a case of mistaken identity. El-Masri credited documents released by Wikileaks for helping to prove his innocence.

Recently submitted, it details staggering corruption and covering up of the truth on the parts of members of several government agencies, including the FBI and the Department of Defense. An even more detailed petition for a grand jury hearing is in the works.
